With another scorcher forecast this week, you can soak up the sun at The National Grande Café in Belfast whilst tucking into their new Backyard Picnic.
A rural oasis meets the urban sprawl with this quirky new concept from The National, where you can now picnic in the sun-trapped beer garden, right in the heart of the city’s bustling Cathedral Quarter.
Picnickers can enjoy a jug of the finest cocktail creations served to an especially reserved table, before diving into an abundance of eclectic picnic treats, including a range of mouth-watering sandwiches, fresh fruits & cream, freshly prepared light bites and a selection of sweet treats and fancies, all packed into a personal hamper.
The delicious picnic hamper includes a wide range of delectable goodies, including: falafel balls, tahini and sriracha; black and white pudding scotch eggs; olive, sun blushed tomato and feta salad; Chicken, mayo and tarragon sandwich; eton mess and pretzel bombs. Vegetarian and non-gluten picnic substitutes are also available, on request.
An array of summer-themed cocktail creations have been created to be served alongside the seasonal picnic, including deliciously fruity gin-based cocktail ‘Pink Picnic’, a tropical grapefruit vodka based cocktail ‘Belvedere Cooler’ or a refreshingly cool ‘Summer Spritz’.
Guests can enjoy The National’s Backyard Picnic every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer (12pm – 4pm) for £27.50 per person with cocktails. For those looking to add a little fizz to their summertime soirée without breaking the bank, add a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne to your picnic for just £45 (RRP £70).
