Supervalu NI Signature Tastes Preview

Nothing says ‘Christmas is coming’ quite like a decadent feast of indulgent, mouth-watering food for everyone to enjoy – and what better way to kick off the season’s festivities than with an exclusive preview event launching SuperValu NI’s Signature Tastes range.

In November 2018, MCE Events was tasked with creating a bespoke and unforgettable evening event to showcase SuperValu’s latest seasonal offering. The Signature Tastes range comprised of a delectable array of pre-prepared premium food products that promised to remove the stress from hosting festive parties, without compromising on taste or quality.

With 8 weeks to plan the event, the team’s principal priority was to scout for a suitable location that would provide a suitable backdrop for an evening of festive delights. The Golden Thread Gallery, located at Great Patrick St immediately stood out on the first visit as the preferred venue.

Once the venue was agreed, the next objective was to work with a range of local suppliers who could assist in transforming the Gallery into the dazzling winter wonderland. MCE Events worked closely with one of Northern Ireland’s leading event design and styling teams, who provided assistance and advice to help select an extensive range of seasonal décor and accessories that would complete the look.

As the day of the event arrived, MCE Events was the first to arrive on site to welcome the relevant suppliers and teams as part of the event set-up process. Within 6 hours of preparation, the contemporary art gallery resembled the ultimate winter wonderland, nestled right in the heart of the city. Extravagant decorations including a life-sized nutcracker combined with an abundance of Christmas trees, festive decorations and twinkling fairy lights, all of which were carefully selected by the MCE Events, helped to achieve the desired look.

While the room began to fill with guests, MCE events coordinated the various elements of the event; from overseeing all technical variants and audio visuals, to managing the guestlist and working closely with the kitchen team, ensuring a streamlined food service.

The event drew to a close at 9pm and MCE Events carried out a comprehensive event take down to remove any equipment and accessories associated with the winter wonderland, leaving The Golden Thread Gallery in its original set up for a normal day of business the following day.
