One of Northern Ireland’s leading estate agencies, Simon Brien Residential, has relocated and opened a new 1,500 sq ft office in East Belfast following an investment of more than £500,000 in the business over last twelve months.
Reacting to the continued steady growth in the Northern Ireland housing market and the ongoing high demand for homes in the area, the company has acquired and renovated the property in Ballyhackamore, which will replace its existing East Belfast office.
The high specification fit-out across all three floors of the building will facilitate an anticipated increase in employee numbers, with recruitment already underway for several positions in property management and lettings valuations.
Headed up by Simon Brien, who has over 30 years’ experience in the residential estate agency business in Northern Ireland, Simon Brien Residential has grown significantly over the past three years. It currently has 51 full and part-time staff members working across four offices in South Belfast, East Belfast, Holywood and Newtownards.
Simon Brien, of Simon Brien Residential, said: “We have had a presence in East Belfast for 10 years but we felt it was the right time to make an acquisition and relocate our team into a larger contemporary office and vibrant working environment. We have invested more than £500,000 in the last twelve months, between purchasing and fitting out this space and also in the opening of our Newtownards office in October 2017.
“We are confident that the future looks bright for the Northern Ireland housing market. We have seen good, steady, sustainable levels of growth across Northern Ireland, and 5.2% in Belfast, with the recent House Price Index showing an average increase of 4.2% between Q1 2017 and Q1 2018.”
He added: “There is particularly strong demand for private resale properties and also new developments in East Belfast and we see it as a growth opportunity for our business. The Sunday Times recently listed Ballyhackamore as one of the top five ‘Best Places to Live in Britain’ and it is easy to see why with its excellent schools and easy accessibility.
“We continue to invest in our customer experience and this week we will launch our new website. This platform will give house hunters a more visually engaging experience which will allow them to easily access new and saved properties.”
