No Signs Of Growing Pains As MCE Events Goes From Strength To Strength

Ines Metelo Events

As 2018 draws to a close, we naturally find ourselves taking stock and reflecting on the last 12 months. For MCE Events, it’s been an unforgettable year.

In just our second full year of operation, our dedicated events team became bigger, better and bolder as the year unfolded, resulting in a significant 54% increase in the number of events booked, and a huge 148% increase in turnover vs 2017.

Over the last year, head of events, Anna Connor has grown the department, which started out as a complementary service for clients, to become a distinct, standalone division within MCE, with its own dedicated team.

In the last 12 months, we have delivered a diverse range of events for MCE clients, including Musgrave NI, Danske Bank, Whiterock Capital Partners and Saffron Business Forum.

With momentum on our side and a growing number of bookings and enquiries, we invested in our resources in 2018, expanding the team and our service offering, which has led to significant new business wins outside of MCE’s client portfolio and numerous word-of-mouth referrals from previous clients.

In 2018, we created and delivered a wide spectrum of events across a variety of sectors. From winning public sector contracts with Northern Ireland’s two largest councils to working with The Irish News to deliver the biggest and best Workplace & Employment Awards in the programme’s 12-year history, every project was turned around with impeccable efficiency, professionalism and creativity.

In addition to larger scale events like the awards programme and outdoor installations, we remotely managed projects for international clients, created intimate product launches, bespoke corporate parties and assisted with key public consultation projects. It really has been a busy year for the team.

Each and every event posed new challenges and demands, none of which were unsurmountable for our committed team; demonstrating our versatile approach and ability to adapt and manage events of all shapes, sizes and styles.

From sourcing weird and wonderful venues to finding catering solutions that bring a unique twist to corporate functions, MCE Events is focused on creating fresh, standout, memorable events that deliver against clients’ objectives.

With a healthy portfolio of events already lined up for 2019, working with a wide range of premium venues and some of Northern Ireland’s most exciting and prestigious brands, we are confident that the New Year will bring MCE Events another 12 months of happy clients, exceptional events and an ever-growing appetite for success!
