Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards 2018

Ines Metelo Events

On Thursday the 14th of June 2018, following over 6 months of intensive planning, the most successful ever Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards took place at Titanic Belfast. Now in their 12th year, this year’s awards programme was the biggest and the best to date!
The MCE Events team was involved in every element of planning from the launch event in February (the first event EVER to be held in the new Hickson’s Point bar) to the final moments of an amazing night on the famous staircase in the Titanic Suite.
With almost 200 entries from all sectors and company sizes, the Irish News welcomed 600 guests and sponsors to the Titanic Suite for what was a memorable night rewarding the hard-working businesses of Northern Ireland.  The MCE team carefully chose the main speaker, Tim Dorsett, Culture Ambassador at Innocent Drinks and hosts Karen Patterson, BBC broadcaster, and Tim McGarry, comedian, who set the mood for an incredibly fun and entertaining night. The event was carefully planned and managed by MCE, which was also in charge of the participant entries, booking of third parties companies such as AV, attendees list for the day and food selection.

“It was fantastic having MCE Events as part of the WEA team as our Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards have continued to grow into a very positive initiative for the Irish News brand. The professional and planning skills of MCE Events were invaluable in terms of the delivery of not just an outstanding brilliant awards night but also record award entries level.”
