Ben is an Account Director at MCE Public Relations specialising in Public Affairs, Media Relations and Stakeholder Engagement.
Ben is responsible for the delivery of public affairs output for a number of high profile clients, including The Lotus Group, Action Mental Health, Belfast Metropolitan College, SSE Arena and Titanic Quarter Ltd. He provides these organisations with briefings and assists them in developing their relationships with government stakeholders.
Prior to joining MCE, Ben worked for a consultancy firm in the Middle East advising governments and civil society organisations in conflict transformation. Ben has previously worked for a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels, a Member of Parliament and then for an MLA in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
On a voluntary basis, Ben is a Director of a number of organisations, including Chartered Institute of Housing, Open College Network and the Bytes Project, as well as being a School Governor in East Belfast. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and is a graduate of the Washington Ireland Program for Service and Leadership, working with the Northern Ireland Bureau in Washington DC.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons) with History, and a Masters in Politics, both from Queen’s University Belfast. He is currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Community Planning.
