Belfast Chamber Consultation Breakfasts

Kate Livingston Events

The Belfast Chamber are committed to the city and envision Belfast as a place of international significance, where people choose to live and companies decide to invest.

Belfast Chamber recognised the need to learn from other successful cities across the world, to deliver best practice and to ensure that the promised investment does materialise and delivers the regeneration, economic growth and social benefits that the city needs.

Belfast Chamber approached MCE Events with the aim of creating a conference that will introduce world class case studies of how cities have emerged from difficult circumstances to become beacons of urban revitalisation.

To ensure we created a relevant conference programme, MCE facilitated a series of consultations with Belfast Chamber’s member to hear the business community’s vision for the regeneration of the city and to harness their opinion on this a major conference.

The consultations took place throughout April 2019, and were attended by key leaders in a range of sectors including retail, hospitality, property, financial and technology. MCE Events collated the guest lists for these consultations and on behalf of the Belfast Chamber sent the invitations and monitored RSVPs.

The consultations were held at breakfast in House Belfast and were facilitated by Paul McErlean, Managing Director, MCE. Attendees heard from Belfast Chamber on their vision for conference, and participants then discussed key messages and topics that they would like to see from the conference on the future if the city.

MCE Events collated feedback and produced a summary following the last consultation. We also formed a steering committee to continue the discussion throughout the process of developing the conference programme.

More information on this exciting conference will be released in the coming months.
